Gloede receives ASBO Monarch Award

The Foundation Governing Board and the Illinois Association of School Business Officials Board has recognized Ruth Gloede, District 59 assistant superintendent for Business Services, with the Illinois ASBO Monarch Award.

According to the Illinois ASBO website, "The Monarch Award is one of the highest honors that Illinois ASBO bestows upon its members. The award is not just a measure of extraordinary deeds or a lengthy career - it is a recognition of those school business officials who, throughout their career and lifetime, have demonstrated excellence in service to their school district, communities and their profession. This award is a celebration of the best school business management has to offer."

As part of the award, $1,000 will be presented in Gloede's name to School District 59 to encourage and support student community service work.

Dr. Art Fessler, District 59 Superintendent of Schools stated: "Mrs. Gloede is extremely deserving of this very prestigious award. She has served School District 59 with diligence and integrity for over 16 years. I personally congratulate her on behalf of the entire District 59 community for this outstanding recognition."
