Take-home wine now allowed in Rosemont
If you don't finish the bottle of wine you bought at a Rosemont restaurant, you'll now be able to take the rest home.
The village board this week approved changes to the village code that will allow restuarant-goers to take home partially-consumed bottles of wine in a one-time-use bag.
Mayor Brad Stephens said the changes were requested by Gibson's Bar & Steakhouse, which operates a restaurant in Rosemont and a kiosk at the Fashion Outlets of Chicago mall.
The code changes, Stephens said, are "consistent with what everyone else is doing."
