House catches fire in Naperville

A fire in a Naperville home caused $40,000 in damage Monday afternoon, fire officials said.

Nobody was injured in the blaze that began about 1:30 p.m. on the 400 block of Brad Court, Naperville firefighters said in a report.

When firefighters arrived, smoke and fire could be seen in a second-floor bedroom window. The fire was out in less than 10 minutes, officials said. The home remains inhabitable.

The fire remains under investigation but does not seem suspicious, authorities said.
