Fox Valley hospice offers bereavement programs

Fox Valley Volunteer Hospice, a nonprofit organization offering support for those with life-threatening illnesses and the bereaved, is offering a series of programs in February for those who have experienced the death of a family member or other loved one. All are held at the offices, 200 Whitfield Drive, Geneva.

The programs are open to everyone in the community and are offered free, but registration is required at (630) 232-2233 or info@fvvh.org.

Beginning Wednesday, Feb. 5, Footprints is a program supporting parents and adult family members who are coping with a miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth or newborn death.

The group meets for six weeks from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Geneva office. An intake interview is required before registration. It is free, but registration is required by calling (630) 232-2233.

Memories of Mom is for adult daughters who have lost their mothers. A safe place to express grief and share memories of mom, the group meets from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursdays, Feb. 6 to March 13, at Fox Valley Volunteer Hospice, 200 Whitfield Drive, Geneva. Call (630) 232-2233.
