DuPage Children’s Museum names next president

The DuPage Children’s Museum has chosen its next president and CEO who will begin leading the Naperville-based museum when President Susan Broad steps down later this month.

Sarah Orleans, who had been serving as director of the Portland Children’s Museum in Portland, Ore., will begin working with the DuPage Children’s Museum on Monday.

She has 20 years experience in organizational leadership, including eight at the helm of the Portland Children’s Museum, where she grew attendance to 320,000 visitors each year and established The Museum Center for Learning.

Museum board members said Orleans will bring a passion for the mission of early learning along with hear leadership skills.
