The article in the Jan. 17 edition of the Daily Herald about the state of Ohio’s use of new compounds in exacting the death penalty on a felon got my blood boiling.
The article seemed to paint a picture of how horrible a death the felon had, and I can only assume it was written in such a manner in an attempt to cause outrage at the death penalty in general, and this case specifically. I say this because nowhere in the article did it state why the person put to death was facing the death penalty in the first place ... something I feel may have purposefully been left out to help the cause “let’s feel sorry for the poor guy.”
Well, I did my research. The guy actually killed a pregnant newlywed. I wonder how agonizing her death was. And how agonizing the death of the unborn was as well.
They said in the article it took the man 23 minutes to die, and his family is going to sue. I wonder how long it took both the pregnant mom and her fetus to die.
