Two students shot in Philly school gym

PHILADELPHIA — Police say up to three boys may have been involved in the shooting of a couple of fellow students at a Philadelphia high school gym.

They say one boy has been captured near his home and one or two more are being sought.

The shooting happened Friday at the Delaware Valley Charter High School in north Philadelphia.

Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey says the gun hasn’t been found.

He says surveillance video shows a group of students hanging around when the shooting happened. He says it’s unclear if the shooting was accidental or intentional but it “doesn’t look like an active shooter type of situation.”

A male student and a female student were shot, each in an arm. They’re hospitalized in stable condition.

A spokesman for the school district hasn’t responded to a call seeking comment.
