Aurora man charged in woman’s murder

An Aurora man was charged last night with first-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of a woman Monday. Police say Christopher Whetstone, 45, of the 500 block of St. Charles Street, shot 22-year-old Rachel Taylor multiple times in the abdomen after a domestic situation. Also, two men have been questioned in an Aurora restaurant shooting the same night. Full story.

Frozen body may be missing Geneva man’s, police say

A body found frozen Tuesday in an empty lot in Bolingbrook may be that of a Geneva man missing since November, police say. Geneva police say the man was last seen leaving Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital, where he checked himself out against medical advice. Full story.

Man accidentally shoots Beach Park partygoer

A showboating teen showing off a gun at an underage drinking party in Beach Park Tuesday accidentally shot another partygoer in the abdomen. Charles W. Walkanoff, 19, faces multiple gun-related charges, while three others were ticketed for underage drinking. Full story.
