'The Voice' auditions in Rosemont this weekend

Aspiring singers will have a chance to audition for NBC's “The Voice” this weekend in Rosemont.

Auditions will take place Saturday and Sunday at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, 5555 N. River Road, Rosemont.

Interested singers must sign up on nbcthevoice.com to get an audition number and time period for the Chicago tryouts. Auditions for the next season of the singing competition already have taken place in Los Angeles and Philadelphia. After this weekend's tryouts in Rosemont, the final round of auditions takes place Feb. 1-2 in Nashville. The show's sixth season premieres Feb. 24.

Those auditioning must bring a printed copy of their artist audition pass and a photo ID to the site.

According to the show's casting website, singers should plan to be at the audition all day and should bring their own snacks and water.
