The Forest Preserve District of Kane County invites home-school families to study the science of snow as part of the "Homeschool Explorations" nature program series.

District naturalists lead monthly "Homeschool Explorations" programs on varying topics at different forest preserves. Activities are geared to ages 5-10, but all ages are welcome.

"Homeschool Explorations: The Science of Snow" will be offered Thursday, Jan. 16. Registrants can choose either the morning session from 10 to 11:30 a.m. or the afternoon session from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

The programs will take place at Creek Bend Nature Center, within LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve, 37W700 Dean St., St. Charles.

Registration is $2 per person or $8 per family of four or more. Advance registration is required. To register, call (630) 444-3190 or email programs@kaneforest.com.
