2 men charged in robbery at Loyola University
Two men have been charged in an armed robbery at a Loyola University Chicago dining hall.
Prosecutors say one of the suspects, 25-year-old Martell Howze, was an employee there. They say he instructed the other suspect, 31-year-old Rodrick Moore, how to evade security and find a safe.
Moore is accused of hitting a worker in the head with a BB gun as she was leaving around 2:30 a.m. Friday.
Prosecutors say he then forced her to open the safe.
The Chicago Sun-Times reports that the robbers made off with nearly $3,000, which was recovered.
Both men are charged with aggravated robbery and kidnapping.
A judge ordered Moore held in lieu of $150,000 bail Saturday. Howze was not in court Saturday.
It was not clear if they already had lawyers.
