Arlington Hts. authorities investigate vehicle fire

Arlington Heights firefighters responded to a vehicle fire Sunday afternoon in a parking lot near 41 S. Evergreen, in the village's downtown area.

There were no injuries, and no property damage aside from the unoccupied Jeep, which authorities said caught fire about 2 p.m. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Response from firefighters was quick because the location is near the downtown fire station. After a truck, squad and engine arrived, the fire was put out.
