Chicago to hold fashion industry town hall meeting

Fashionistas of Chicago are getting together next month for a town hall meeting.

The city of Chicago has announced it will host a Chicago Fashion Industry Town Hall on Dec. 10. Mayor Rahm Emanuel says in a statement that he wants to continue to build the industry in Chicago. Every year the city holds “Fashion Focus: Chicago’s Fashion Week.”

The goal of the meeting is to help the city’s Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events plan future initiatives for the fashion industry in the city. Those who attend will get details on grant opportunities and upcoming networking events.

Other topics will include business development, education and manufacturing.
