Wisconsin governor, DNR secretary post deer hunt video

MADISON, Wis. — Gov. Scott Walker and Department of Natural Resources Secretary Cathy Stepp have posted a new video about how excited they are for next week’s gun deer season.

The nine-day season is set to open on Saturday. Walker and Stepp have posted a short video on the DNR’s website that features the two of them joking about how Stepp never stops talking about the first buck she killed last year.

Walker, dressed in a blaze orange vest and cap with a rifle slung on his back, says deer hunting is part of Wisconsin’s heritage and is a key economic driver.

He also thanked hunters who took new hunters out last year.
