Carpentersville

• Luis U. Gonzalez, 17, of the 200 block of Butte Lane, Carpentersville, was charged as an adult with one count of aggravated discharge of a firearm after he fired five shots at a Carpentersville home on South Berkley Street Friday evening, police Cmdr. Timothy Bosshart said. Nobody was injured. The home was occupied by a former gang member Gonzalez was trying to scare, Bosshart said, and during a police interview, Gonzalez admitted he was retaliating for a broken window at another gang member's home. His bail was set at $150,000, and he is due in court Nov. 27, police said.
