Illini lose top point guard to Louisville

According to multiple reports, 6-foot-1 point guard Quentin Snider from Ballard, Ky., has reneged on his pledge to play for the Fighting Illini and signed a letter of intent with Louisville.

Scout.com was the first to report the decommitment for Snider, who said in September that he had was headed to Illinois to play for head coach John Groce.

Snider is ranked No. 51 nationally by 247Sports. After point guard Jaquan Lyle decommitted from Louisville this fall, Cardinals head coach Rick Pitino targeted Snider.
