McBooks at McReading Night at the Grayslake McDonald's

On Tuesday night, November 12, at 6:00 PM, Ronald McDonald was at the Grayslake McDonald's for Ronald's Reading Club. Ronald started off with a little magic with the help of Rhiannon. The reading club is in support of the Children's books in the Happy Meals for two weeks starting November 1. Local kids from Grayslake brought their favorite books to the McDonald's on Tuesday. Ronald McDonald read all four of the new Happy Meal Books to the kids. One of the books Ronald read was called Dina's Big Dreams. Ronald also read Doddi the Dodo Goes to Orlando. When Ronald read, The Goat Who Ate Everything, Ronald talked to the kids about eating healthy. He told them the importance of eating lean protein, low fat dairy, vegetables, fruits and whole grains. The children loved all the books. Ronald read to the kids and asked them their favorite parts of the stories. Ronald McDonald personally autographed all the books for the kids, which was enjoyed by all. It was a great night! The Happy Meal books will be available until November 14th. They are fun stories that rhyme. Ronald's appearance was courtesy of the Grayslake McDonald's owner/operator, Jayme Schenk.
