Local artists on display at Arlington Hts. museum

The Arlington Heights Historical Museum’s Heritage Gallery has been transformed into an art gallery featuring original works of 43 talented individuals who live, work, or enhance the arts in the community.

The exhibit, Arlington Artists on Display, runs through Jan. 26. It is open 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday. There is no admission fee, but a donation of $2 is suggested.

Various types of media are presented in the 12th annual exhibition including: watercolor, oil, pen and ink, pencil, acrylic, mixed media, paper, photographic based imagery, textiles and wood.

The exhibit is sponsored by the estate of Dorothy Seiberg.

The Heritage Gallery and Shop is located on the Arlington Heights Historical Museum Campus at 112 W. Fremont St. The Gallery specializes in local history exhibits drawn from the historical society’s collections and local, national and regional traveling exhibitions that explore the broader context of our history.

The Heritage Shop offers a selection of historical toys and books, along with local history memorabilia.
