• Four credit cards and $40 were stolen from an unlocked sport-utility vehicle on the 38W500 block of Arrowmaker Pass near Elgin between 8 p.m. Nov. 1 and 2 p.m. Nov. 2, according to a sheriff report. A van also was searched through, but nothing stolen.

• A Garmin GPS and several checks, one of which was forged and cashed for $50, were stolen from a SUV on the 4N500 block of High Meadow Road near St. Charles between 9 a.m. Nov. 1 and 2:55 p.m. Nov. 4, according to a sheriff report.

• Fifteen golf clubs and irons, a total value of $3,000, were reported stolen by a resident of the 0S600 block of Branford Lane near Geneva on Nov. 4, according to a sheriff report. The victim believes the clubs were stolen between Oct. 14 and Oct. 17, the report said.
