Police: Men offered kids candy in St. Charles

St. Charles police say two men approached a group of children Sunday and attempted to give them candy before speeding away.

Three boys were walking near Moore Avenue and 4th Place at about 5:30 p.m. when a red station wagon pulled alongside them, police said.

The vehicle's passenger yelled out the window that they had candy for the boys. None of the boys approached the vehicle.

Police did not have a further description of the vehicle or the occupants.
