Wredling teacher faces child porn charges

A teacher at a St. Charles middle school was charged yesterday with possessing and distributing child pornography, according to district leaders. Jerome “Jerry” McCauley, a seventh grade teacher at Wredling Middle School, has been put on administrative leave pending further investigation. Full story.

Danada Equestrian Center seeks new management

The DuPage County Forest Preserve District is beginning a search for only the third person to ever head the Danada Equestrian Center. The most recent leader, Patricia “Trish” Spiroff, resigned Friday afternoon. She was charged Sept. 23 with attempting to steal from Costco. Full story.

Barrington keeps video gaming ban

Barrington village officials expressed concern last night for how video gambling is regulated by state law and said they’d feel more comfortable standing by the ban for the time being. Mundelein seeks land for Hawley Street
