Two people from one vehicle and one person from the other vehicle were transported to local hospitals with injuries described as "noncritical," Lienhardt said. The driver of the semitruck was not injured.

Upon arrival to the scene, Lienhardt said, authorities saw one vehicle that was off to the side of the road with heavy damage, a minivan with heavy damage, and the semitruck with moderate damage.

Route 173 was closed down for about an hour as authorities investigated the crash. It's unclear how the crash occurred.
