Aurora death under investigation

Aurora police are investigating the death of a 40-year-old woman whose body was found Saturday morning at a Motel 6.

According to a news release, at 7:48 a.m. Aurora police and fire personnel responded to the motel at 2380 N. Farnsworth Ave, where the woman, who has been identified as Jeannine Brooks, was unresponsive. Though lifesaving efforts were attempted, Brooks was pronounced dead at 7:59 a.m.

Police investigators and evidence technicians saw no signs of trauma. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday at the Kane County coroner's office.

According to police, Brooks had been living at Hesed House in Aurora.

Police said she had been at the motel room, which was checked in by someone else, since Friday.
