Obama intrudes into all facets of life

Obama intrudes into all facets of life

He voted "present" 123 times as an Illinois state senator, but today Barack Obama is an indefatigable micromanager. Never mind that the bloodbath in Syria continues, overshadowed by the specter of chemical weapons.

Forget that Putin has outmaneuvered Obama diplomatically, and crowed about it. So what if Iran is playing good-cop-bad-cop with us, its president and its supreme leader taking turns at the microphone?

And of course there's the problem of the House of Representatives, ruled by maniacal Republicans who detest the government.

The economy? Still struggling, fragile as ever.

Obamacare? Unwise, unwieldy, unloved. The ongoing government shut down; the looming debt ceiling deadline: twin exhalations from the same dragon's face.

So what does Barack Obama want on his plate now, on top of these issues? The question of whether the Washington Redskins ought to change their team's name. Obama's ego expands to fill the known universe. Are our lives a vacuum, that this man feels the need to intrude into every facet of existence? Move over, God.
