Meet the Round 1, Week 2 judges

Chefs John Junior and Suzy Singh along with Penny Kazmier, Michael Pennisi and Beth Peterson took a look at the Round 1, Week 2 recipes. Joining them from our sponsors were chef Mike Nevil, representing the Green County Wisconsin tourism board, and Emil Weber, marketing coordinator for PepsiCo.

Mike Nevil: Born and raised in New Glarus, Wis. Nevil is the general manager of the Chalet Landhaus Inn and Restaurant where he has worked since 1984. He started his culinary training at the age of 16 and studied culinary arts in Madison, Wis. After graduation, he trained for four consecutive winter seasons in Unterwasser, Switzerland to become more familiar with traditional Swiss specialties. He’s also a captain for the New Glarus Fire Department and has guided several groups of fireman on tours of Switzerland and Austria. He’s been married for 26 years and has three children.

Emily Weber: Weber currently works as a marketing coordinator for Pepsi Beverages Company in Schaumburg where she helps her team to coordinate a variety of programs in the communities falling within the Midwest region. Emily was born and raised in Woodstock and earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing from Aurora University. She continues to make her home in the suburbs. In her spare time, Emily attempts to prepare a variety of dishes ranging from the easy-to-prepare macaroni and cheese to highly involved pasta dishes.
