Sunday Soiree fundraiser at Metropolis turns 10

Metropolis’ annual ladies only fundraising event, Sunday Soiree, is celebrating its 10th anniversary at Metropolis on Sunday, Sept. 29.

The Metropolis Ballroom will be filled with exciting goods including jewelry, clothing, shoes, holiday gifts, and much more. Have a glass of wine and some hors d’oeuvres as you shop, then come down to the theater for an exciting performance from Midwest Dueling Pianos. Proceeds benefit Metropolis’ theatrical and arts education programs.

Sunday Soiree is at 5 p.m. Tickets are $50 per person and include hors d’oeuvres, drinks, concert, and a gift bag. Tickets are available online at MetropolisArts.com or by calling the box office at (847) 577-2121.

Events like Sunday Soiree raise funds to help keep ticket prices affordable and tuition costs low in the performing arts school, and also support Metropolis outreach programs that have brought the arts to the lives of more than 17,000 children, hospice patients and those with special needs in 100 different organizations across the area.

Metropolis is located in downtown Arlington Heights at 111 W. Campbell Street. Street parking is available. Free parking is available in the public garage behind the theater.
