Our government ignoring the will of the people

“Representative government, elected government, government by the people” is how Webster’s defines democracy. The country is overwhelmingly against taking any action in Syria. If our elected officials once again go against the will of the people, as they have with term limits, entitlements to Congress and the Senate and the new health care laws, then we might as well scrap our democracy as it was envisioned by our Founders. We the people are strongly against all of these issues and yet they exist.

Isn’t it ironic that we will take action against the Syrian government so the Syrian’s have a chance at democracy, yet here at home we have no chance as long as our elected officials continue to impose their government upon us.
