Let’s clean up our own act first

I just spoke to Bill Foster’s office in D.C. and there has been no effort to poll his congressional district.

This bothers me because he is my representative and he is supposed to represent the feelings of his district on pertinent matters.

If we decide to bomb Syria are we just going to hit the bad guys or will we inevitably kill more people than were recently gassed?

I know that must be a horrific way to die but are we in the position of telling other countries what they should be doing?

Are our urban areas free of gangs? Are our suburban schools free of drugs? Is Illinois debt free? Why is heroin killing so many of our teenagers?

Maybe we need to worry about cleaning up our act before telling other countries how to run theirs.
