Since 2010, AT&T, AAA and the State Patrol have worked together to hold events in 25 cities throughout the Wisconsin.
State law prohibits all drivers from texting or emailing while operating a motor vehicle.
A documentary by filmmaker Werner Herzog called "From One Second to the Next" is also being distributed high schools across the country, including in Wisconsin. It features the story of Xzavier Davis Bilbo, a Milwaukee boy who was paralyzed after he was hit by a texting driver.
