BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Indiana University says professors on two of its campuses have been awarded a grant for a new initiative on philanthropy in China.
It says the Henry Luce Foundation has awarded a three-year, $300,000 grant for the project that's being led by IU Lilly Family School of Philanthropy director of international programs Angela Bies in Indianapolis and Scott Kennedy, director of the Research Center for Chinese Politics and Business in Bloomington.
The project will include research, workshops and conferences and engagement in a philanthropic activity to address a social problem.
The grant also will support summer internships for two IU students each year in China.
