TOMAHAWK, Wis. -- Lincoln County authorities have recovered the body of a 67-year-old Tomahawk man who apparently drowned after leaving his pontoon boat to help a dog.

A WSAW-TV report says deputies received a call Sunday about 4:30 p.m. reporting that a man disappeared from his pontoon boat in the town of Tomahawk. A witness says the man went into the water to help the dog, but the man and dog struggled and the man sank beneath the surface.
