BURLINGTON, Iowa -- After falling behind by 4 runs in the first inning, Kane County battled back for a tie in the eighth before the Cougars fell 5-4 to the Burlington Bees on a walk-off n RBI single by Matt Scioscia at Community Field.

Jeimer Candelario of the Cougars (48-68, 18-32) had tied the game in the eighth with a two-out solo homer.

Earlier, the Cougars' Reggie Golden blasted a 3-run homer.

Cougars starter Starling Peralta gave up 4 runs on 4 hits in the first, but did not allow another hit through 513 innings. The Cougars' bullpen kept the Bees hitless until Scioscia ended the game.
