Don’t overlook 911 during a crisis

911 services are established in the Tri-City area and are manned 24/7 by competent licensed personnel. A gentle reminder may be necessary that being transported via 911 to the nearest health care facility is the most direct and safest way to deliver care to the injured or those who experience a sudden change in condition.

The personnel in the ambulance are in direct contact with the receiving hospital and can immediately initiate treatment as times may be lifesaving.

I have no investment in this business except for having been an RN for 40 years working in many areas of care.

I urge people to call 911 and not to rely on their neighbors, friends or relatives at these times as they often may not be available and the delay in treatment may be life-threatening.
