WGN-TV will provide live HD coverage of the Arlington Million from Arlington Park on Aug. 17 from 5-6 p.m., officials announced Wednesday.
The one-hour telecast will profile three Grade 1 races: the live running of the Arlington Million and the $750,000 Beverly D. Stakes, plus highlights of the $500,000 Secretariat Stakes. The encore replays will be broadcast on CLTV the same night from 8-9 p.m.
Hosted by WGN's Dan Roan and Arlington Park's Howard Sudberry, the broadcast team will be joined by Blackhawks hockey analyst Eddie Olczyk. WGN Reporter Marcus Leshock will cover the scene from the sidelines and Arlington's Alyssa Ali will be live in the paddock and winner's circle.
