Libertyville Sports Complex hosts fun run event

The Libertyville Sports Complex will host an outdoor “2K and 4K Fun Run Obstacle Course Event” Sunday, Aug. 11, at 8 a.m., combining a running event with on-course obstacles.

Runners are invited to register for the 2K or 4K option. There will be age divisions for youth, adults and seniors (60 and older). Advance registration is $25; race day registration is $35.

All runners will be part of a Breakfast of Champions, receive a goody bag, and a live band will entertain runners and guests.

Online registration is available at www.Libertyville.com, as well as by picking up a registration form at the Libertyville Sports Complex Fitness Center.

The event is sponsored by Chiro One Wellness Centers, with promotional partners Sports 11, SPRI, Clowning Around, Einstein Bros Bagels, Our House of Hope K-9 Rescue, and Cancer Wellness Center.

“Themed” race obstacles include Life’s a Beach, Hay Fever, Tire You Out, Stairway to Heaven, Survive a Large Inflatable Obstacle, Bleacher Bum and more.
