Deerfield Park District After-School Club has openings for the 2013-14 school year

Deerfield Park District's After School Club (ASC) is for boys and girls in afternoon kindergarten and in Grades 1-5. After School Club runs from 3:25 – 6:00 p.m. weekdays and is offered at the following Deerfield School District 109 elementary school locations: Kipling, South Park, Walden and Wilmot. The ASC program starts on the first full day of school and ends on the last full day of school in District 109. Two-, three-, four- and five-day options are available at each location. The availability of staff and the size of the rooms at the different schools determine enrollment limits. Deerfield Park District does not provide transportation to or from After School Club.

After School Club offers each child the chance to enjoy the friendship of other children. Parents/guardians may rest easy knowing his/her child is having fun in a safe environment under the supervision of experienced staff. Our supervisors take a personal interest in each child and plan activities that will help youngsters grow and develop emotionally and physically. Children in the After School Club may help make a snack, then participate in a variety of interesting activities which might include games, art, music, dramatics, or other ideas suggested by the children and leaders. Quiet time is also provided to allow for reading, doing homework, or daydreaming. Parents/guardians are asked to make sure children are dressed appropriately for the weather, as After School Club participants frequently go outdoors.

Fees for After School Club vary depending upon number of days per week chosen. A nonrefundable $50 deposit is due upon registration. Tuition for the full school year may be paid in full or in two installments. These installments are due on June 14 and December 6. After School Club does not meet on half-days or on full-days when school is not in session. For alternate programming options on days when District 109 schools are not in session (i.e. “Half-Day Happenings,” “School Day Out” programs, “Winter Break activities,” “Spring Fling,” and more, check our current and upcoming seasonal brochures.
