COLOR ALOFT BALLOON FESTIVAL SET

Family fun for the entire family!

Grayslake, IL, July 29, 2013– The Grayslake Chamber of Commerce, Village of Grayslake, and Grayslake Park District are excited to announce that plans are well underway for the 1st Annual Color Aloft Balloon Festival to be held on Saturday, August 24 in Central Park.

If you find yourself looking skyward and gazing longingly at the sight of a hot air balloon, you will be delighted to learn of a festival of ballooning this August in Grayslake. The 1st Annual Color Aloft Balloon Festival will take place on August 24, 2013 at Central Park just off Route 83 in Grayslake. The festival will run from 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm.

This fantastic visual spectacle will be an awe-inspiring display of color with a Saturday night Glow and 6 hot air balloons are expected to take to the skies in a mass ascension between 5:30 – 6:00pm. Visitors will have the opportunity to view the balloons close up and meet the pilots.

There will be plenty to see and do for families and visitors during the festival. Food vendors, live music featuring Slam Funk and Prairie Sky, balloon artist, carnival games, and activities for children. The evening entertainment Saturday will be a spectacular vision provided by the “Night Glow”, where hot air balloons will give a stunning light display.
