Ohio authorities identify 2nd of 3 slaying victims

EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio — Authorities have identified the second of three female victims whose bodies were found last week near Cleveland wrapped in trash bags.

The body of 28-year-old Shetisha Sheeley was found in a field Saturday in East Cleveland.

The Cleveland woman was arrested last year on a charge of firing a weapon from a vehicle. The case was dismissed three months later because there was no eyewitness.

Her attorney, Michael Nelson, says Sheeley came from a troubled family background and never got help posting her $1,000 bond. Nelson recalls her as unemployed and vulnerable.

The victim’s mother, Kim Sheeley, asked for prayers and told WEWS-TV that her daughter’s death “has been really, really” hard on her.

A registered sex offender has been charged with aggravated murder and kidnapping in the killings.
