Deceived about plans for land
Deceived about plans for land
Every time there was a vote on increasing my property taxes so Kane County could purchase more land to preserve for open spaces I have voted in favor of this.
I was delighted when the Brenner property in northern Kane County was purchased to preserve for open spaces, never to be developed. Stupid me! It will now be used for a roadway and toll bridge over the Fox River even though there is another bridge about one mile south of there.
The residents of Kane County should have been allowed to vote on this since they voted for a tax increase to preserve this property.
Never again will I vote in favor a property tax increase to preserve land the open space since I’ve been deceived and I am not at all happy about it.
