Rockin' art

See a large collection of rock 'n' roll artwork, including works by Ron Campbell, animator of the Beatles' famed “Yellow Submarine” film, at the 94.7 WLS-FMRock Art Show and Sale at the Stratford Square Mall, 152 Stratford Square, Bloomingdale. Campbell, who also directed the Beatles' 1960s cartoon series on ABC, will be on hand to demonstrate his painting techniques and meet with the public. Shadows Fall, a Grammy-nominated heavy metal band from Springfield, Mass., delivers all the monster riffs, pounding drums and barked lyrics that a metal fan could ask for. Ride For Dime is a not-for-profit organization that raises money for music education programs and other charities in the name of “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott, the former guitarist in the band Pantera who was shot and killed while onstage in 2004.
