Matt Moscatello, Age 12, Makes Illinois Olympic Development Team!

The Illinois State Olympic Development Team for soccer requires 6 sessions of tryouts spanning 6 months. Every Saturday, hundreds of boys from across the state competed in tryouts for over 4 hours each session. Over 60 boys were then selected for one final tryout narrowing list to the top 30 for state of Illinois and Matt Moscatello made the final cut. Training was held in Rockford Il this past week where he trained under OLympic sanctioned activities and competed with other states. This training program serves as an opportunity for scouts to see younger talent and train them. Matt has been playing competitve soccer with the Glen Ellyn Lakers for nearly 6 years and his team was just elevated to the National Premier League. This is a invite only league where only the best teams in the state can compete with the best teams in other states. This is another OLympic sanctioned program. His Laker season went undefeated!
