Intersection in Libertyville to close

Motorists are being alerted that work will begin Wednesday, July 17, to complete the intersection of Brookhill Road and Route 21 (Milwaukee Avenue) in Libertyville. Due to the substantial grade difference between the new pavement of Route 21 and existing pavement of Brookhill Road, the intersection will be closed to traffic. Inbound and outbound traffic of Brookhill Road, including emergency vehicles, will need to use Janas Court, approximately 800 feet south of Brookhill Road. Brookhill Road traffic will use the newly constructed southbound lanes of Route 21 between Brookhill and Janas to get in and out of the subdivision. Temporary signs will be placed to guide the traffic between Brookhill and Janas. The intersection of Brookhill and Route 21 will reopen July 29.
