A new mobile version of a website launched by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency enables mobile device users to access information about emergency preparedness and recovery, weather and man-made hazards and updates on current disasters.

The site m.ready.illlinois.gov will provide real-time updates about shelters, road closures and other information and is accessible by smartphones or tablets. It also includes a "How Do I?" section with access to information on more than 40 topics.

Preparedness and disaster information is available at the website, www.ready.illinois.gov or on Facebook and Twitter, which are accessible through the mobile site.
