Three winners have been announced for a photography contest sponsored by Grayslake Heritage Center and Museum. In the event category, Maryanne Natarajan won for "Heading Home," showing a boy returning to his house after playing baseball. In the place category, judges selected 13-year-old D.J. Johnson's "Through the Eyes of Glass". He used a natural setting at Rollins Savannah for the image. Andrew Roberts' "Rollins Coyotes" won best of show. Andrews' photograph focused on coyotes in the wild. Contest judges included Daily Herald photographers Paul Valade and Gilbert R. Boucher II, Grayslake historian Charlotte Renehan and Dick Navarre.
