Illini 4000 bike ride fundraiser in Arlington Hts.

Arlington Orthodontic, 1420 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, is having a fundraiser Saturday in its parking lot to sponsor the Illini 4000 for Cancer cross-country bike ride to raise money to fight cancer. The riders left New York City May 24 and will arrive in San Francisco on July 31. More than 90 percent of donations go to the American Cancer Society, Camp Kesem (a camp for children whose parents are affected by cancer), Livestrong and Damon Runyon Cancer Research Centers. For a donation, attendees will be able to throw a pie at Dr. Jeff Kemp. There will be face-painting, and hot dogs and chips available for purchase.
