Mundelein Park District hosts a free community picnic and water ski show at Diamond Lake Beach on Saturday, June 29 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Free lemonade, paddle boat rides and crafts for children will be available, as well as space for picnics. After 5 p.m., the shoreline will close for boating and swimming and the Wonder Lake Water Ski Show Team will put on a free show with tricks and on-water pyramid formations. Visitors are encouraged to bring blankets and lawnchairs. The beach is in Mundelein on Diamond Lake Road, between routes 60/83 and Route 45. Free parking is available across from the beach.
