New exhibit tells Lisle's story

If it takes a village to raise a child, then what did it take for Lisle's early leaders to raise a village?

"Sustaining Lisle's Heritage: The Story of Lisle's Incorporation" opened Saturday at the Museums at Lisle Station Park, 921 School St., Lisle.

The exhibit, which runs through Oct. 5, tells the story of how Lisle became incorporated in 1956 and details some of the challenges overcome by the village's first leaders. The exhibit takes viewers back to 1832, when the area was first settled, through township and municipal government.
