Food, music highlight ‘Out to Lunch’ in Libertyville

Bring a blanket or lawn chair to downtown Libertyville’s Cook Park each Friday from June 21 through Aug. 16 for “Out to Lunch.”

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., food vendors will offer burgers, brats, Mexican food, pizza, barbecued items, sushi or salads — even ice cream for dessert.

Whether you are meeting friends or doing a “grab and go” on your lunch hour, “Out to Lunch” is an ideal way to enjoy a summer afternoon.

Sit back and enjoy the music played by local bands.

Kicking the season off June 21 is The New Libertyvillians and the Sneezy Trio will be performing June 29. In July, the lineup is Kevin Spica (July 5), David Dallison & friends (July 12), Peter Cimbalo (July 19) and Sagebrush (July 26).

Convenient parking is found in the covered free parking garage on Lake Street. Alternate parking is found at the municipal lot behind St. Lawrence Episcopal Church.

For more information call the MainStreet office (847) 680-0336 or visit www.mainstreetlibertyville.org.

Sponsors for this event are Lake County Dental (Dr. David Potts & Team), Advocate Condell Medical Center, The UPS Store, Libertyville Bank and Trust, Great Lakes Credit Union, George Garner Cyclery and Splash Car Wash.
