Dundee and Randall Oaks Branch libraries to waive fines for donated goods

Exchange canned goods and other nonperishable items for library overdue fines during “Food for Fines” June 17 through 29 at the Dundee Library in East Dundee and the Randall Oaks Branch Library in West Dundee. All donated items will go to the FISH Food Pantry in Carpentersville.

Library patrons will get these amounts in current fines waived for each item they donate: $1 for food items (canned, boxed, prepackaged, etc.); $5 for personal/baby Items (oral care, toothbrushes, wipes, baby oil, powder, ointment); $5 for feminine products; $10 for disposable diapers (one package, size 2 and up).

Repackaged, expired or travel-sized items cannot be accepted. Replacement fees for lost or damaged materials, collection agency fees and card replacement fees are not eligible. Bring items to the account services desk, and don’t forget to bring your library card!

The Dundee Library is located at 555 Barrington Ave. (Route 68), in East Dundee. The Randall Oaks Branch Library is located at 500 N. Randall Road, in West Dundee. For more information, visit www.frvpld.info or call (847) 428-3661.
