76-year-old central Indiana woman found dead in pool

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. — Authorities say a 76-year-old woman’s grandson found her dead in the backyard pool of her suburban Indianapolis home.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department says the grandson stopped at the Noblesville home to help Marylin Webb clean her pool and spotted her in the water Tuesday. Deputies arrived to find Webb unresponsive and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say they believe Webb fell into the pool while working around it and that foul play isn’t suspected. An autopsy was planned to determine the cause of her death.
